Hi! As we begin 2011, I would first like to say thank you for listening to me (and my co-workers) on WMGK. I feel lucky and honored to work with such a wonderful and talented group of individuals. I count my blessings every day.
Secondly, I am going to make an effort to update my blog more often! Please feel free to email me anytime with questions, comments, suggestions, jokes, recipes (you get the idea) ... Kathy@WMGK.com.
December was a busy month.... in addition to all of the usual holiday activities that occupy a lot of time (decorating, cooking, shopping, visiting with family & friends), I also volunteer my time coordinating an annual Christmas concert which benefits local food banks and shelters. It's called Glen Burtnik's Xmas Xtravaganza (www.xmasxtravaganza.org) , and this year marked the 20th Anniversary of this amazing event. Over the years, the show has raised thousands of dollars and collected tons of donations of canned food, warm clothing, and unwrapped toys for those less fortunate. It's a truly heart-warming event. All the perfomers donate their time, so that the show can raise money for our neighbors in need. It's all about helping one another. Glen's webmaster, Queenie, was kinda enough to upload videos of the entire show (she recorded it from her seat in the audience) to YouTube. Here is the link if you'd like to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=D93725AC60032D2F
Hope your holidays were wonderful!
