You can have a drink now for -- and of -- the late Johnny Winter.
Just over a year after the guitar hero passed away at the age of 70, Dutch's Spirits of New York has released Johnny Winter's Mean Town Moonshine, a blend of "pure can sugar and the spring-fed waters of Harvest Homestead Farm" that the distillery describes as "The true spirit of the blues...smooth and clean with just a slight roughness around the edges, mirroring the blues Johnny became famous for."
The Moonshine retails for $45 a bottle and can be purchased at abcbottlecompany.myshopify.com. Winter passed away on July 16, 2014, of a heart attack while touring in Switzerland. His final studio album, Step Back, is due out September 2, featuring guest appearances by Eric Clapton, Joe Perry of Aerosmith, ZZ Top`s Billy Gibbons, Leslie West, Joe Bonamassa, Brian Setzer and Dr. John.
