5 Classic Rockers We Wish Were Our Best Friends
Today (June 8th) is National Best Friends Day, and while there’s plenty of musicians BFFs we could highlight, we couldn’t help but wonder who we’d choose from the classic rock world to be our own best friends. Here’s five that come to mind.
Paul McCartney - Besides the novelty of being friends with a Beatle, Sir Paul is one of the world's most famous vegans, so you know he probably has a bunch of killer recipes...or has a chef that does. Either way, his health-conscious lifestyle may rub a bit off on you, even if it's for "Meatless Mondays." Photo by Steve Jennings/Getty Images
Keith Richards - Keef has been drug free for a number of years now, but the guitar legend still indulges in a drink every now and again. Can you imagine a better drinking partner than Keith Richards?! Neither can we. Photo by Carlos Muller/Getty Images for TDF Productions
Stevie Nicks - When asked if she ever thought about writing a memoir, Stevie said she would have to wait until most of the people she knows are dead in order to tell her whole story. In other words, she likely has the best stories! Also, she has an unlimited supply of shawls/flowy garments to borrow. Photo by Matthew Eisman/Getty Images
Bono - Yes, yes...we all know Bono can be a bit preachy at times, but the U2 frontman also has many friends in high places. From government officials to business moguls, it seems as if Bono known them all. So, if you have any sort of issue or complaint, we bet Bono could get in touch with the right people and right some of those wrongs. Also, according to Noel Gallagher, Bono is also a legendary drinking buddy, so he has that going for him, too. Photo by Mark Sagliocco/Getty Images
Alice Cooper - Need someone to get you into an exclusive golf resort? We bet noted golf enthusiast Alice Cooper would get you in! Plus, you just know he throws the best Halloween parties. Photo by Andreas Rentz/Getty Images
Erica Banas is a rock/classic rock reporter who never leaves home without her iPod, because to her, there’s something very comforting about carrying around every piece of music she’s ever owned in her life.
