Winner, Winner...Led Zeppelin's Buying Dinner

Any day is a good day to be Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, but today is a very good day to be these rock icons.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the jury in the “Stairway to Heaven” lawsuit has sided with Led Zeppelin in less than a day of deliberations.

The lawsuit focused on the similarities in the 1968 instrumental track “Taurus” by the band Spirit and “Stairway To Heaven.

Consequence of Sound  is reporting that Page and Plant issues the following statement,  “We are grateful for the jury’s conscientious service and pleased that it has ruled in our favor, putting to rest questions about the origins of ‘Stairway to Heaven’ and confirming what we have known for 45 years.  We appreciate our fans’ support, and look forward to putting this legal matter behind us.”

Taurus- Spirit

This is the song that Zeppelin stole the intro to Stairway to Heaven from. Not a soundtrack, but quite the tune.
