We may have just witnessed the most-classic rock moment at the Rio Olympics so far.
Check out the Dressage routine from Spain’s Severo Jesus Jurado Lopez and his horse Lorenzo as he “dances” to Santana’s hit song “Smooth.”
Spain's Severo Jesus Jurado Lopez rides his horse - Lorenzo - to a dressage routine featuring everyone's favorite Latin rock song by Santana from the 90s. Watch more from Rio at http://www.nbcolympics.com and download the NBC Sports App at http://www.nbcsports.com/sports-mobile
Spain has a history of working classic rock into their sporting events. Remember when their Synchronized Swimming team did their routine to Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway To Heaven” at the 2009 World Swimming Championships?
The Spanish synchronized swimming team won the gold medal at the World Swimming Championships in Rome, in 2009, by performing a routine over the song Stairway to heaven by Led Zeppelin. This is an edition of that presentation in Rome in 2009 and other images from the World Swimming Championships at Shanghai in 2011, where the girls resubmitted the same routine.
If Spain’s taking requests, may we suggest “Free Bird?” (Couldn’t resist, and we’re not sorry about it!)
