5 SoCo Cocktails To Celebrate Janis Joplin

The rock world lost Janis Joplin 46 years ago today (October 4th), and in addition to remembering her musical legacy, we also think Janis should be remembered today with help from one of her favorites:  Southern Comfort.

Here’s five different cocktail recipes we think Janis would adore almost as much as we adored her.  Cheers!

57 Chevy

SoCo, amaretto, peach schnapps, orange juice, pineapple juice with splash of grenadine?  This drink is fully loaded!

A few alcohols and a lot of splashes, this cocktail brings tons of great flavors together in one glass. Plus, it's the 4th of July, so you got that going for you too! Recipe: 1 oz. Amaretto, 1 oz. Southern Comfort, 1 oz.

We can support any drink that’s basically liquid dessert.

SoCo Float

We know this is basically another liquid dessert, but when SoCo, vanilla vodka and root beer are involved, we don't think it's necessarily a bad thing.

Alabama Slammer

This cocktail is a classic…just like Janis.

Alabama Slammer

Amaretto, Southern Comfort, Sloe Gin and Orange Juice to build out this cocktail. We're not sure if it was invented in Alabama but it sure tastes tropical.
