Phil Collins celebrates his 66th birthday today (January 30), and as far as his solo career goes, his biggest hit is without a doubt “In The Air Tonight.”
Of course, that classic track for years has been dogged by the urban legend that it’s about Collins watching someone off in the distance drown while another person nearby didn’t attempt to save them. Some still believe the legend is real, but Collins himself debunked the myth during an October 2016 visit to The Tonight Show.
