Billy Joel Brings Mellencamp & Young Rascals On Stage

Last Friday night (3/3/17) Billy Joel brought out some special guests during one of his residency shows at Madison Square Garden.  Felix Cavaliere and Gene Cornish of Young Rascals and then later John Mellencamp joined the 'Piano Man' for some memorable moments.  Watch the video.  Six songs into his set Joel informed the crowd that he almost quit playing music after seeing The Young Rascals because he didn't think he could compete.  He then asked Felix and Gene to join him on stage.  They played a rousing version of The Young Rascal's hit "Good Lovin".

Towards the end of the show Mellencamp came out and played his tune "Authority Song" with Billy and his band.  They even broke into "Land of 1,000 Dances" during their jam.

We'll see Billy Joel at Citizen's Bank Park on September 9th and John Mellencamp at Mann Music Center on July 6th.
