How to Live With A Hyper Dog
Views :: 73

My dog, Ozberg, is one energetic pooch. Although I love his energy and his personality, it can sometimes be a bit trying on my nerves. For instance, yesterday I was working from my apartment, and he would not leave me alone for a second. He kept jumping on me and trying to get me to throw his ball to him and take him outside for a walk. He didn’t seem to understand that I was trying to get some work done!

When I stumbled upon Deb Wood’s post about her dog Pogo over on The Oregonian pet blog, I found myself relating to everything she said. The constant movement and misbehavior sounded all too familiar. But she eventually learned how to deal with her pet’s personality and found that training and a good amount of activity really helped to calm Pogo down.

Wood suggests that a good way to keep your dog active is to teach him or her new tricks. This will stimulate them both physically and mentally. Make sure to check out the article to read Deb’s story and hear her advice.
