Todd Rundgren is getting back to "Bat" -- "Bat Out of Hell," that is.
Rundgren, who produced Meat Loaf's breakthrough 1977 album, will also be part of the "Bat Out of Hell" stage musical currently being developed for London's West End by composer Jim Steinman.
Rundgren tells Britain's Uncut magazine that "Jim enlisted some ridiculously big choral section, so I've effectively signed on as the choirmaster."
There's no word yet on when the "Bat Out of Hell" musical will open; a "developmental lab" version of the show was presented during November in New York City, featuring songs from all three of the "Bat" albums.
Meat Loaf has so far not been attached to the project, but he is working with Steinman on a new studio album, "Braver Than We Are," which is due out this year.
