Phil Collins Talks Buzz Around Potential Genesis Reunion

The idea of another Genesis reunion has been broached somewhat continuously since the group's last trek in 2007. It's cropped up again in recent weeks as Phil Collins has been doing interviews to promote his new book, Not Dead Yet -- The Memoir, and his new compilation, The Singles.

The story is that nothing is planned -- yet. But Collins, while vague, tells us that it's not beyond the realm of possibility:

"When someone says 'Is there a chance?' I guess I should say there's no chance, and then surprise them...Nothing's been talked about, basically. I know that since the last reunion tour there have been hints of, 'Well, what about another one?' or taking it somewhere else, and possibly that could happen. But the thing is that with this particular subject, as soon as you say 'possibly' people start badgering about, 'When is it gonna happen?' I think it's safer to say it's not gonna happen and be surprised if it happens, thank you."

Collins, meanwhile, has announced a batch of solo shows next June in London, Paris and Cologne, Germany.
