Yoko Ono Cast In New Wes Anderson Film

Yoko Ono's next gig will be in film rather than music.

Ono has been cast to voice a character in Isle Of Dogs, the upcoming animated move from director Wes Anderson. Ono joins a cast that includes Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Greta Gerwig, Jeff Goldblum, F. Murray Abraham, Edward Norton, Harvey Keitel and others.

Isle Of Dogs is due out during 2018; It utilizes stop-motion animation techniques, but little else is known about it other than Anderson's illuminating comment that it's "a film about dogs."

Ono has previously appeared in the film Satan's Bed and as herself in Let It Be, Imagine and TV's Mad About You. She's also directed several art films, mostly shorts, since the mid-60s.
