Update On Tickets For the Classic East/Classic West Festivals

It's official: The Classic East and Classic West festivals starring the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac are set for New York and Los Angeles during July.

The Eagles, Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers will play July 15 at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles and July 29 at Citi Field in New York. Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire will follow on July 16 and 30, respectively. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. EDT April 7 with VIP presales beginning April 3.

Prices have not yet been confirmed but the Los Angeles Times reports that tickets sold will be for both nights of the festival (no single night tickets) and prices will range from $150-$950.  If you’re looking for a VIP setup, expect to pay $1,750, which includes various swag extras.

Mick Fleetwood could not talk about the actual festival when we spoke with him in Austin, Texas, earlier this month, but he did tell us that he's looking forward to getting Fleetwood Mac back onstage, especially with Christine McVie having returned to the group three years go:

"Christine is, in a way, 'cause she pulled away for so long, to see her writing and enjoying and being able to have fun in a playground that she said goodbye to, which I felt was a tragedy in itself, it's a fairy tale part of it...So there's an extra joy for me. She is like my sister, and incredibly, happy, proud and just overjoyed for her that she has this moment."

McVie and Lindsey Buckingham will be releasing an album together later this year, though no release date has yet been announced.

Meanwhile, there’s no word yet on how the Eagles will replace the late Glenn Frey for its shows
