Lost pet posters are seen way too often.

No one plans to lose their beloved pet Max, but it’s best to prepared ahead of time in case he happens to wander away.

Since July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month, Concord Pet Foods & Supplies wants you to be aware of tips on what to do if your pet goes missing.

To avoid losing your pet, consider these prevention strategies.

  • Start with a good collar. Find a collar that fits properly. Reach out to a local trainer or pet shop if you need assistance ensuring a good fit. For added insurance, consider a collar that you can embroider with your phone number.
  • Purchase name tags. Every pet should have a regular name tag with the pet’s name and your contact information (two phone numbers are recommended).
  • Have your pet microchipped and register the microchip. Make sure to update your registration if you move or change contact information.

Are you looking to buy your pet some gear? Concord Pet is offering $10 off if you spend $50 or more at any participating stores. Get the collar your furry friends needs today! Offer expires July 31.
