VIDEO: Part One of Def Leppard’s ‘Step Inside: Hysteria’
As previously reported, a new mini-documentary, Step Inside: Hysteria, highlighting the making of Def Leppard’s classic album, was teased for release, and much to our surprise, it’s actually going to be available online, with part one now streaming.
The nine-minute clip below covers the bulk of Hysteria’s early stages, primarily Rick Allen’s devastating car accident that resulted in him losing his left arm and how much he worked in recovery re-learning how to play drums with a special kit.
Step Inside: Hysteria is all part of the reissue celebration of the album’s 30th anniversary, and Def Leppard is really pulling out all the stops. It’ll be released in five different formats (Single CD, 3 CD, 2 LP, limited edition orange vinyl 2 LP and Super Deluxe box set), and as for the latter format, they really are emphasizing the super. The box set will include five CDs, two DVDs, four books and a tour poster.
For fans that haven’t pre-ordered the Hysteria reissue yet, each format is currently available for pre-order at UDiscoverMusic.com.
