VIDEO: Part Two of Def Leppard’s ‘Step Inside: Hysteria’
This whole week has been hysteria over Def Leppard’s Hysteria, and rightfully so with the album celebrating its 30th anniversary today (August 3) and its 30th anniversary reissue due out tomorrow (August 4.)
To add to the…well…hysteria (again), the band released part two of their mini-documentary Step Inside: Hysteria.
The 11-minute clip below delves into the nitty-gritty of the actual recording process, especially when it came to working with the notoriously meticulous Mutt Lange. One of the most fascinating things about the backstory of Hysteria is that the band racked up an insane bill from just recording the album to the point that in order to break even, Hysteria had to sell a minimum of four million copies. (No pressure there, right?)
For those that missed part one of the documentary, which primarily focuses on Rick Allen bouncing back from his car accident that resulted in losing his left arm, you can watch it below.
