NEW YORK, NY - MAY 03: Musician Joan Jett performs at the 2nd Annual National Concert Day Show at Irving Plaza on May 3, 2016 in New York City.

Joan Jett once appeared on the big screen as an actress in 1987’s Light Of Day. Now she’ll hit theaters as herself.

The authorized Jett documentary Bad Reputation will be premiering at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, running January 18-28 in Utah. Directed by Kevin Kerslake and written by Joel Marcus, Bad Reputation is described as “A look at the life of Joan Jett, from her early years as the founder of the Runaways and first meeting with (manager/producer) Kenny Laguna in 1980 to her enduring presence in pop culture as a rock ‘n’ roll pioneer.”

The 2010 feature film The Runaways, which starred Kristen Stewart as Jett, had its world premiere at that year’s Sundance Film Festival, with Jett performing before and after the screening. There’s no word yet on whether she plans to do the same for Bad Reputation.
