Sammy Hagar Receiving Arts Education Honor
Sammy Hagar is being honored for his career work by Adopt The Arts, a charity that helps fund arts education in public elementary schools.
The organization states that Hagar “has demonstrated decades of influence on our modern culture. We are grateful to be able to showcase not only his talent, but his personality, and a style that has been an incredible inspiration to fans around the world.”
The tribute will take place January 31 at the Avalon Ballroom in Los Angeles, with Adopt The Arts co-founder and former Guns N’ Roses and The Cult drummer Matt Sorum leading an all-star Kings Of Chaos ensemble that will including Michael Anthony from Hagar’s band The Circle, Steve Lukather of Toto, Dean and Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots, Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X and others.
