FLASHBACK: Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels on ‘Hullabaloo’
BRISTOL, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 14: A record dealer in Wanted Records in St Nicholas Market puts on a vinyl record on the shop's turntable on October 14, 2015 in Bristol, England. Although sales of vinyl records declined dramatically with the introduction of digital formats such as CDs and downloads it is now seen as a premium product and sales this year in the UK of newly pressed LP records on vinyl are expected to top 2million double what they were in 2014.
Mitch Ryder celebrates his birthday today (February 26), and we’ve decided to flashback to this classic performance from a 1966 episode of Hullabaloo.
“Jenny Take A Ride” was the breakout hit for Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, and it totally holds up today. C’mon…it’s got a good beat and you can dance to it. Who couldn’t love this single?
Also, is it just us, or does anyone else miss shows like Hullabaloo?
