HOLLYWOOD, CA - NOVEMBER 14: Producer Shep Gordon (L) and actor/director Mike Myers attend the 18th Annual Hollywood Film Awards at The Palladium on November 14, 2014 in Hollywood, California.

Mike Myers celebrates his birthday today (May 25), and while he’s given us countless comedic characters in film and during his time on Saturday Night Live, one of the best pieces of work he’s created in his career is the 2014 documentary Supermensch:  The Legend of Shep Gordon.

Chronicling the fascinating life of Alice Cooper’s long-time manager, Supermensch was directed and produced by Myers, who first met Gordon during the production of 1992’s Wayne’s World, which, of course, features the now iconic “We’re not worthy” scene.

If you haven’t seen the film yet, check out the trailer below.  The film is just outstanding and shines a light on what might be one of rock’s most underrated, intriguing figures.
