Woodstock 50, despite literally every single setback imaginable, is limping forward and now will be taking place in Columbia, Maryland at the Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Bloomberg first reported the new venue change, which will hold about 32,000 people. Originally scheduled to take place in upstate New York, the new Woodstock 50 venue is now about 250 miles from its first announced location in Watkins Glen, N.Y.

The festival is still scheduled to take place on August 16-18. Although tickets have yet to go on sale, Bloomberg is reporting passes will cost around $129 to $595.

Despite finally securing a venue, Woodstock 50 still isn’t out of the woods yet. Artists that were originally announced – including The Killers, Santana, The Raconteurs, Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, John Fogerty, Greta Van Fleet, Gary Clark Jr., Rival Sons and more – were originally contracted to perform at the original Watkins Glen venue. Now that the new venue is significantly farther away, it’s uncertain whether those artists will show.

Bloomberg also reports that the festival “is now being pitched as a fundraiser for nonprofits devoted to voter turnout and climate change.” Voter registration organization HeadCount is set to receive a portion of the ticket sale proceeds, and a planned livestream of the festival is another proposed outlet for fundraising.
