COOKING ROCKS! – Crock Pot Chili – Show #6
Easy and cooks while you are at work or play.
2 lbs. ground beef or turkey (browned and fat drained)
2-3 15 oz. cans kidney, white, black beans (substitute 1 can of corn in place of 1 can of beans)
1 – 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes
1- 28oz. can of crushed tomatoes
3 TBSP. Crushed Garlic
1 package frozen diced onions
1 package of frozen green peppers
2 tsp. ground cumin (more if desired)
2 TBSP. ground chili powder
1 diced Serrano hot pepper (optional for heat; more/less if desired) or ground red cayenne pepper to taste
1 or 2 bay leaves
Combine browned/drained meat with all other ingredients in crock pot stirring to mix all.
Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours and serve with your favorite shredded cheddar, jack or colby cheese.
