Stay Safe AND Sexy! The “Trikini” Is Here For Summer

Tiziana Scaramuzzo, the designer behind small artisan Italian brand Elexia Beachwear, has created a line of “trikinis" suitable for beach time in the midst of a pandemic.



The three-part swimwear comes with a traditional matching bikini top and bottom, as well as a third component: a matching face mask.

Back when the lockdown was implemented, Scaramuzzo was forced to halt production on her bikini line at her small artisan shop. She and her family began to make masks with the materials they had. Scaramuzzo posted photos of her mask creations on her business's social media pages, where they were well received, thus birthing the “trikini” idea.



Breathing is hard enough in a normal mask, so one must ponder how functional these are. It seems like little more than a sexy way to waterboard yourself. As of now, they're sticking to the "trikini" but don't be surprised if their line expands to "face thongs" in the future!
