Grant Imahara, ‘MythBusters’ Host, Dies at 49
Grant Imahara, best known for being a host on MythBusters and Netflix’s White Rabbit Project, has died at the age of 49.
Imahara’s death was confirmed in a statement released to the media by a rep from Discovery saying, “We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
Imahara’s cause of death was due to a brain aneurysm.
A number of Imahara’s colleagues took to social media to pay tribute to their late friend. MythBuster host Adam Savage wrote, “I’m at a loss. No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend.”
MythBuster host Kari Byron shared a photo of she, Imahara and host Tory Belleci along with the caption, “Somedays I wish I had a time machine.”
Belleci wrote, “I just cannot believe it. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is broken. Goodbye buddy.”
