Metallica Raised Over $100K During #MetallicaMondays Streaming Series
Metallica wrapped their #MetallicaMondays streaming series this week, which also helped raise money for the band’s All Within My Hands (AWMH) charity organization. With the complete totals in, the band’s streaming events helped raise over $100,000.
Per the AWMH website, fans donated the money over the course of 23 weeks. In a statement, Metallica said, “At the core of All Within My Hands is the same value at the core of Metallica: we are stronger together. When the Metallica Family activates for a cause, you help us make a sustainable impact in a way that four people simply can’t make on their own. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you and HELL YEAH for your involvement in our desire to make the world a better place.”
The biggest mission of AWMH is fighting hunger around the world. In the United States, Metallica partners with Feeding America, the non-profit that serves more than 200 food banks in the country. During the pandemic, AWMH was able to distribute the funds donated via #MetallicaMondays to Feeding America’s various food bank partners and supply 324 million pounds of food since March 1.
