Miley Cyrus is one of over 50 artists contributing to The Metallica Blacklist, a unique covers album paying tribute to Metallica's 1991 self-titled album in honor of its 30th anniversary.

Cyrus' cover (below) finds the singer taking on the metal band's classic ballad "Nothing Else Matters." She isn't performing alone on this cover, though; she has one hell of a backing band consisting of Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and WATT (aka: producer/musician Andrew Watt.)

Cyrus made headlines in October 2020 when she said she was working on a Metallica covers album. Many presumed she meant she was working on an entire album and not just contributing to a grander project.

The Metallica Blacklist
features a wide variety of artists including Corey Taylor, Weezer, Chris Stapleton, Volbeat, Royal Blood, THE HU, Portugal. The Man, Mickey Guyton, Cage The Elephant and many more. A full tracklisting for the album, whose entire proceeds will benefit charity, is listed below.

The Metallica Blacklist is due out on September 10 and is available for pre-order in CD,vinyl and digital formats at Metallica.com.

10 Covers Better Than The Original
