Rocky IV is getting the director’s cut treatment by Sylvester Stallone and will be re-released in theaters for one night only.

Dubbed Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago, the film will hit select theaters on Thursday, November 11 via Fathom Events. Rocky vs. Drago features 40 additional minutes of never-before-seen footage, boasts “more intense fight scenes” and will be prefaced by an intro and Q&A from Stallone.

Tickets for the screening are on sale now at FathomEvents.com. A trailer for the film can be viewed below.

Stallone first announced a director's cut of Rocky IV was in the works back in August 2020. At that time, he shared via social media, “For the 35th anniversary, Rocky 4 is getting a new DIRECTOR’S cut by me. So far it looks great. Soulful… Thank you, MGM for this opportunity to entertain.”

Stallone noted in a response in the comment section that one memorable aspect of the film will be omitted.

“The robot is going to the junkyard forever,” wrote Sly. “No more robot.”
