The Who Announce 2022 North American Tour Dates
The Who is returning to North America for a new tour that will see the band pair up with local orchestras.
“The Who Hits Back!” tour is broken into two batches: Spring and Fall dates. The Spring dates kick off April 22 in Hollywood, Fla. and wrap on May 28 in Bethel, N.Y., and the fall dates begin on October 2 in Toronto and wrap on November 5 in Las Vegas. (A full list of tour dates is below.)
Most of the dates on the tour are cities the band was going to play in 2020 but were forced to cancel due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Per TheWho.com, “The Who Fan Club pre-sale starts Tuesday, February 8th at 10.00 AM local time and runs through Thursday, February 10th at 10.00 PM local time. American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning today, Monday, February 7th at 10.00 AM local time through Thursday, February 10th at 10.00 PM local time. General tickets on sale starting Friday, February 11th at 10.00 AM Local Time on LiveNation.com.”
In a statement on the tour, Roger Daltrey said, “Pete and I said we’d be back, but we didn’t think we’d have to wait for two years for the privilege. This is making the chance to perform feel even more special this time around. So many livelihoods have been impacted due to Covid, so we are thrilled to get everyone back together – the band, the crew and the fans. We’re gearing up for a great show that hits back in the only way The Who know how. By giving it everything we’ve got.”
