It’s been a long couple of years, but today the city of Philadelphia drops the mask mandates. City officials say the city is moving into the “all clear” response level and because of that is dropping the indoor mask mandate effective immediately. However, federal mask mandates remain in places like healthcare facilities and on public transportation. What about schools and private businesses? They are separate from the city’s restrictions and are not included in the city mandates.
There are a couple other exceptions that 6ABC outlines here.
What about fans attending Wells Fargo Center events? They are no longer required to wear a mask in the arena. The venue already dropped the need to show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test to enter the arena. Of course, any additional health and safety protocols required by leagues or specific tours or entertainers still apply.
