Tour de Shore With Matt Cord
This Sunday is the 35th annual Ben to the Shore!
I will be making the ride with Team WMMR and my friend Caseyboy!
This is my 6th ride and it’s the highlight of my summer. 65 miles from the foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge to the Showboat Hotel in AC. This year the weather is supposed to be near 100 degrees! Considering it rained last for about half the ride I think most of the close to 2000 riders will take the heat over steady rain.
The start of the ride is at the Foot of the Ben Franklin Bridge which the city closes for an hour to let all the riders over; the thrill of riding over the bridge with all the other riders is one of the coolest experiences ever.
Not to mention it’s my favorite of all the bridges in Philadelphia.
Money raised from Ben to the Shore is for fallen or critically injured police officers and first responders.
