Congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies, who advanced to the World Series of baseball last night after taking down the San Diego Padres in just five games in a best-of-seven series in the 2022 National League Championship Series.

The NLCS was filled with many plays and at-bats on the baseball diamond that will live in the hearts of Philadelphia fans for the rest of their lives.

Probably none more than Bryce Harper’s eighth-inning home run in yesterday’s game that gave the Phillies the lead after entering the bottom of the inning trailing by a run, 3-2.

Thousands in attendance will cherish those memories forever, including a dear friend of mine who got a chance to watch some of the games with some Philadelphia star athletes, both past and present.

Philadelphia Eagles starting center, Jason Kelce, and former Major League Baseball MVP and Philadelphia Phillies first baseman, Ryan Howard, were both in attendance all weekend long at Citizens Bank Park.

Howard threw out the honorary first pitch on Saturday night, which stuck with the series theme of bringing back alumni from the 2008 World Series champions Phillies team. While Kelce was all over the Bank making numerous guest spots on the jumbotron getting the crowd excited each time.

Kelce and Howard were hardly the only stars in the building taking it all in, either!

In the team’s first postseason appearance since 2011, the Phillies see themselves playing in the World Series for just the eighth time in franchise history!

The Series will start this Friday as the Phillies take on the Houston Astros.

Let's keep this thing rolling, Phils!
