My Forum at 97.5 The Fanatic’s Fan Fest
This past Saturday, October 29th, our sister station over at WMGK, 97.5 The Fanatic, held their annual Fan Fest event at Xfinity Live down at the stadium complex in South Philadelphia, and I was fortunate enough to be a part of it.
Every year, the Fanatic holds this event as a celebration for the station’s listeners and fans to come hang out with all the hosts and celebrity guests.
This year in addition to all the on-air talent, a ton of current and former Philadelphia Eagles players were in attendance, including Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox, Brian Westbrook, and LeSean McCoy.
There were also tons of cool interactive experiences that fans could take part in including shooting on an outdoor Philadelphia Sixers basketball hoop, scoring a goal on the Philadelphia Union’s inflatable soccer field, or making their way through an inflatable obstacle course!
This year I actually got to participate in the fun activities myself!
I co-hosted a forum for fans to ask questions and such with hosts from The Fanatic and my friends, Dei Lynum and Devon Givens.
It was such a fun and great experience where the three of us got to discuss all things Philadelphia Sixers between the three of us and fans in attendance alike.
Both WMGK and The Fanatic are blessed to have such dedicated fans that take the time out of their day to listen our shows and to show up to such amazing events like Fan Fest or our Big Gig and Big Bad Bonfire!
Anytime I get to hang out and converse with fans, it makes me realize how cool my job can be all over again!
I can not wait to see what event I’ll get to pop out at next!
