New Music From The Rolling Stones? Count Me In!
After that tough loss by the Phillies in the World Series, it really seems like I can’t get no satisfaction…
All right, maybe I can!
One of my all-time favorite bands and one of the most legendary bands in rock ‘n’ roll history, The Rolling Stones, recently did an interview where they spoke on where they are as a band and when the world can expect new music from them!
Band member Ronnie Wood recently hinted that the band is in the final stages of completing their next album and they will all be getting in the studio together in Los Angeles in the coming months to finish the album.
It will be the group’s first original output since 2016 when they released the Grammy-award-winning project, “Blue and Lonesome.”
Unfortunately, as Stones fans well know, it will also be the first album since the passing of the late and great drummer, Charlie Watts.
Luckily, the album will contain a ton of tracks that Watts contributed to on the drums before his passing in 2021.
I am stoked that we will get to hear his drums for a few more tracks!
Drummer Steve Jordan will fill out the rest of the drum tracks for the songs Watts did not contribute to, but fans should not be too worried about his performance as he is a longtime collaborator of Keith Richards.
Wood also said the band will indeed hit the road for another tour next year in 2023!
I will definitely be in the building when that tour rolls around to Philadelphia!
If you have not seen The Stones in concert you are missing out, and you never know when it might be their last time, so I would try my best to make it when they swing back around!
Although, it was not quite The Stones, check out the picture above from when I got the chance to hang with Keith Richards when his solo band, Keith Richards and the X-Pensive Winos, played at The Tower Theatre in Upper Darby back in 1993!
I really needed a start me up after this last weekend, and this news definitely helped!
