Alright, back from baby week. I didn’t do any picks on here last week, but I went 3-0 any way. Trust me, 3 wins, 0 losses. Actually, I did hit a crazy multi-player 5 leg touchdown parlay while sitting in the hospital room with my wife and new daughter. But that doesn’t matter as it’s a new week and we start 0-0. Last time we posted was week 7 and I once again went 2-1 bringing my overall record to 6-3. Week 9 of the NFL Season is here, let’s hit it.
Game of the Week – Vikings @ Bills (BUF -3½)
This line started at Bills -8 ½ and is down to 3 ½. That screams Josh Allen’s elbow is more of an issue and he’s probably not be playing this week. I’m going to take a chance and bet like he’s out. In that case it’ll be Case Keenum vs the Vikings. The Bills have some run D issues that need fixing. Not great when you have Dalvin Cook in town. Even with a pissed off Bills team, coming home after a division loss, no Josh Allen is an issue for them. Vikings cover the 3 ½ without Josh Allen leading the Bills.
Lock of the Week – Browns @ Dolphins (MIA -3 ½)
This Dolphins team is for real. People questioned if Tua was the right QB coming into the season, a lot like how there were questions about Jalen Hurts. Turns out both QBs answered the call. The Browns are still the Browns, and this Miami team can beat you so many ways with their WRs and RBs. Run past you, run around you, and run through you. I just heard this last night the Tyreek Hill is on pace to break Calvin Johnson’s single season receiving record and he’s only found the endzone 3x while doing this. That alone shows how many ways Miami can beat you. ‘Phins cover the 3 ½.
Eagles – Commanders @ Eagles (Phi -10½)
It’s time for the Eagles to make a statement on national television. It’s been 11 days for the defense to sure up the middle that took a bit of a hit without Jordan Davis due to a high ankle sprain. Now, that was against one of the best young running backs in the NFL in Dameon Pierce. The Commanders don’t have that. They’re offense isn’t really a threat to score over 20 per game while the Eagles offense is a threat to score 30+ points every game they play. After a mini bye week, I think they put up a great showing on MNF and cover 10 ½ for the 2nd time this season.
