Sixers Debut New (Lucky???) Uniforms
Each year, every NBA franchise releases a new uniform for the team to wear for that season and they are called the “City Edition” jerseys.
This past weekend, the Philadelphia Sixers unveiled their new threads. 🪡@cryptocom | #BrotherlyLove pic.twitter.com/XqThfpLODF
The jersey itself is mostly white with a thin red line down each side, and on the front across the chest reads, “City of Brotherly Love,” in beautiful script writing, also in red.
The uniforms are minimalistic by design to have a retro look to match the long history of basketball greatness in this city, and are a sweet new addition to the Sixers’ on-court look for this season!

One thing I am stoked about from the release of these new uniforms was being featured in the official promotional video the team put out when they first unveiled the uniforms just a few days ago!
My voice can be heard throughout the video with clips of my public addressing for the Sixers sprinkled in between the narration from three Philadelphia basketball legends – Dawn Staley, Sonny Hill, and Kahleah Copper!

Another super fun part about the City Edition uniforms is that the team also has a new court when the team wears the jerseys while playing at the Wells Fargo Center.
Just like the uniforms nod to a retro look, the court itself is reminiscent of an older hardwood floor and makes for a really sweet experience for fans!
The Sixers are set to wear this new look numerous times throughout the season including games on November 19th, December 11th, January 12th, February 25th, March 12th, March 20th, and April 6th, and of course, last night was the debut.
Speaking of last night, what a dominating performance by Joel Embiid!!!
A career high of 59 points, while also contributing 11 rebounds, 8 assists, and 7 blocks!
That was an all-time great performance and one Philadelphia sports fans will remember for a long time!
As far as I am concerned, the Sixers should wear these uniforms every night if that’s how the big man is going to play in them!
Not to mention, all fans in attendance cashed in on some free nuggets when the Utah Jazz missed two free-throws late in the game during the Sixers’ Bricken for Chicken challenge!
Who says, no?
