The Stars Were Out to See the Sixers vs. LeBron
All the stars were out downtown at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday night to see the Philadelphia 76ers take on LeBron James and the visiting Los Angeles Lakers.
Whether you are a LeBron fan or a LeBron hater, it is impossible to deny his superstardom, so whenever he makes his yearly trip to Philly, everybody that can go tries to go.

This year some of the notable names in attendance included retired United States Women’s National Team Star, Carli Lloyd, who grew up just over the bridge in New Jersey, and WNBA star from the Chicago Sky and Philly native, Kahleah Copper.
The trio that received the loudest ovation when shown on the big screen were three superstars from our 12-1 Philadelphia Eagles, running back Miles Sanders and wide receivers DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown.
Of course, the arena erupted in an “E-A-G-L-E-S – EAGLES” chant when they were caught on the jumbotron!
Brown was actually the guest bellringer during the pregame show, which the fans loved, and, of course, I got to introduce him while doing the public addressing, which was awesome!

All those stars to be said, but the biggest star that was in the building on Friday, in my eyes, was my niece, Lily!
She is a huge Sixers fan, probably the biggest I know! So I am always stoked when she gets to make a trip down to Broad Street and visit me before the game!
The game itself was a rollercoaster ride.
Joel Embiid got off to a red-hot start and was nearly impossible to guard in the first quarter as the Sixers gained a big lead.
Then came the second quarter where the Sixers blew a double-digit lead, which would become a theme in this game.
After pulling away from the Lakers squad most of the second half, the Sixers tried their best to give the Lakers the game.
They would have succeeded if it wasn’t for a couple of Lakers players doing their best Ben Simmons impersonations and missing a free-throw each.
With just about 30 seconds left, the Sixers held a 119-110 lead.
After a few boneheaded plays, some bad luck, and being out-hustled, the Sixers were left watching as Austin Reaves was at the free-throw line shooting three foul shots as the 76ers held a 120-117 lead.
Luckily, Reaves missed the last free throw, which would have tied the game and the loose ball was last touched by LeBron before going out of bounds.
Unluckily, the Sixers could not inbound the ball and the Lakers ended up with a steal and were fouled so they were at the line again.
In true Lakers center fashion, Anthony Davis channeled Shaq and bricked his second free throw, sending the game to overtime.
Fortunately, the Sixers ran away with the game in the extra time and sent the fans and the stars in attendance home with a win!
They were also able to defeat the Charlotte Hornets last night, so they left the weekend unscathed!
The team will be back in action tomorrow night as they take on the Sacramento Kings.
10, 9, 8, 76ers!
