The Philadelphia 76ers started the city’s weekend off on the right foot with a win on Friday night against the visiting Golden State Warriors as the defending champions made their yearly trip to the Wells Fargo Center.

The Sixers two best players stepped up in a big way with their superstar center, Joel Embiid, scoring 34 points and James Harden coming through with 27 points of his own.

The win on Friday night was the Sixers' fourth in a row as the team continues to win without a fully healthy squad.

The team’s young superstar guard in the making, Tyrese Maxey, is reportedly set to return very soon – possibly before Christmas – but Tobias Harris had a back issue pop up right before tip-off on Friday, which is never a good sign.

The Warriors themselves were also battling with some injuries for the game.

The visiting team was without their generational talent and all-star guard, Steph Curry, who injured his shoulder during the team’s game last Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers.

It is a shame because you never want to see one of the greatest players in the world be injured for a significant amount of time, but also because the Sixers fans who paid to see Curry play during his only trip to Philly this year, missed out due to his injury.

I know my niece, Lily, and my nephew, Nate, were both very excited for the chance to see him play up close, in person.

They actually had the chance to sit courtside for this nationally televised game with the one-and-only 6th man himself, Al Horowitz!

They had a blast!

They might not have had a chance to see Steph play this time, but at least he was in the building, which is always cool!

Actually, during a timeout, Steph took some time to go talk to the great Philadelphia filmmaker, M. Night Shyamalan!

I wonder if he was asking for a part in Shyamalan’s next thriller!

The 76ers are back in action tonight at home versus the Toronto Raptors.

Hopefully, we can extend that win streak to five games!

10, 9, 8, 76ers!
