The Eagles Are Going to the Super Bowl and I Ran Into An Old Friend!
The Philadelphia Eagles are headed back to the Super Bowl!!!
For the fourth time in franchise history and the second time in five years, the Birds will be playing in the big game!
After a dominating win over the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 31-7, the Eagles secured a trip to Arizona to play in Super Bowl LVII.
And waiting there for us will be a familiar face…
Andy Reid and his Kansas City Chiefs squad!
Sorry, Andy, unlike in 2020, the city of Philadelphia will not be rooting for you – far from it actually!
But that’s a battle we’ll focus on more in the coming weeks.
For now, let’s celebrate!
And that is exactly what I did last night!
After the win, we headed down to Broad Street to celebrate with thousands of other excited Eagles fans!
It was surreal.
Every direction you looked, there was someone in an Eagles green – kelly green, midnight green, whatever your preference is, there was plenty of it being worn last night!
Even dogs had jerseys on!
Just looking around and seeing the smiles on peoples’ faces was amazing!
If that is what last night had in store, I can’t imagine what it will be like if and when they win in two weeks.
Man, can we just skip to game day already?
In the meantime, I guess we’re all going to be tuned into the various networks to hear what the national media is saying about our NFC champion, Philadelphia Eagles!
Speaking of the national media, one, in particular, has local roots of her own, and I had the chance to run into her in our studios last week!
And that person is Philly’s own NFL Network star, Colleen Wolfe!
Colleen was in for an appearance on The Preston and Steve Show on Friday over on WMMR.
It was great getting to see her again!
As a matter of fact, Colleen and her husband who also does great work of his own in the sports media world, John Gonzalez, used to be neighbors in South Philly!
I am sure both of them are fired up about this Super Bowl appearance just like the rest of us!
One more win to go!
Let’s get this done!
