Shout Out to Penrose Diner!
Shout out to the Penrose Diner!
The girlfriend and I met my sister and her family there on Sunday morning for a pregame Super Bowl breakfast!
Here we all are at our table, and, of course, we all were wearing our Birds gear in preparation for the game later that night.
Unfortunately, the big game did not turn out how any of us wanted, but I will say that Penrose Diner is still a breakfast for champions!
The place is located right in the heart of South Philly on the corner of Penrose Avenue and 20th Street and is just about a mile and a half from the stadium complex, which is the home of The Linc, Wells Fargo Center, and Citizens Bank Park.
It was the perfect place to eat before the Super Bowl!
The atmosphere was amazing with everyone anxiously awaiting the game.
Our waitress, Mareon, was leading the entire diner in doing the Eagles chant!
She was great the whole time and was wearing a replica version of Jason Kelce’s Mummers hat he wore at the championship parade in 2018!
It was so cool to see everyone on the same page and hopeful for the game, and Mareon made sure to keep the positive energy flowing.
Here she is with my niece, Lily!
Not only do they have a great breakfast menu, but they also have amazing brunch specials on the weekend.
My favorite is the Memphis Skillet.
Delicious!
My nephew Nate’s meal also looked so good!
By the way, not only is Penrose Diner your typical diner, but they also have an on-site bakery, where they make fresh baked goods every morning.
Their Greek baklava is fantastic!
I highly recommend it!
Well, actually, I just recommend going there in general!
I promise you will not be disappointed!
Just thinking about it makes me want to go there again this weekend!
I am sure we’ll be back soon!
