This past Saturday night an NFL player with some ties to the Philadelphia Eagles hosted Saturday Night Live on NBC!
This player never played for the Birds, but he has a brother that has played his whole career with the Eagles and fans are hoping he continues playing with the team for at least one more year!
If you do not know who I am talking about by now, and you totally should, it is Travis Kelce.
Travis hosted SNL and brought his older brother and Eagles legend with him, Jason Kelce, for a few skits!
As much as it pains me to say it after he beat us in the Super Bowl, Travis did a phenomenal job taking the lead role this past Saturday!
Jason himself was also great in all of his appearances.
Travis made a joke that Jason agreed with the extremely questionable holding call at the end of Super Bowl LVII called against Eagles’ cornerback, James Bradberry.
That one still stings, but at least Jason can have some fun with it!
Even though his face when Travis made the joke was probably the same face everyone in the greater Philadelphia area made as well — a look of disgust!
Altogether, Travis did an amazing job!
In my opinion, he put on the greatest hosting performance by an NFL player ever!
He proved he has a second career in acting whenever he decides to hang up his cleats in his NFL career.
Imagine being one of the best tight ends to ever play the game of football, and being able to act that well on top of that!
Not to mention, the Kelce brothers also have an amazing podcast, which is highly entertaining each week called the New Heights podcast!
Obviously, it goes without saying that I am a big fan of Jason Kelce as well.
But that even extends to his off-the-field stuff here in the city.
Of course, he’s an all-time player, but he also does amazing stuff for the community.
I had the chance to be invited to his Underdog Foundation launch a few months ago, and I was able to chat with him for a bit and snap a picture!
He’s the man!
Congrats to both Jason and Travis for their great work on the iconic SNL over the weekend!
