Habitat Philadelphia Opens Second ReStore Location Today!

Today, the wonderful people at Habitat Philadelphia are celebrating the grand opening of their long-awaited second ReStore location in the city.

It's at 3111 W. Allegheny Avenue in North Philadelphia and, like their flagship location in South Philly, the ReStore has a fantastic selection of all sorts of furniture and housewares available at great prices. The Habitat ReStore has an excellent selection of outdoor furniture for you to spruce up your backyard look, perfect for the arrival of summer! The store is open starting today from 9:30am to 5:00pm, and proceeds from the sale of the furniture help Habitat Philly to continue their incredible work. And that work is profound.

Since 1985, Habitat Philly has built or sold 250 homes to first time Philadelphia homeowners (as of 6/23/23), and they've repaired hundreds more across the city, all coming from your furniture and monetary donations.

At 102.9 MGK, we are proud to partner with Habitat Philadelphia each year with our "Gimme Shelter" event. That's where our generous MGK family hop in their cars and drop by the Habitat ReStore with their donations on a particular Saturday, and the MGK air staff broadcasts live to show our support and get the word out. Now, there's a second Philly location to do just that, and we surely look forward to being involved with Habitat again this year.
