Bruce Springsteen Celebratory Exhibition Opening in Conshohocken
Bruce Springsteen hysteria has officially hit the Philadelphia area.
Citizens Bank Park will host Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band for two shows. The first is on Wednesday, August 16, and the second is on Friday, August 18.
The local festivities won’t just include the show, however. Coll’s Custom Framing and Gallery in Conshohocken will host the “50 Years of Bruce Springsteen Music Celebration” exhibition to correlate with the Boss’s trip to Philadelphia.
50 Years of Bruce Springsteen Music Celebration
Coll’s will feature fine art photographs, rare posters, autographed memorabilia, and gold and platinum records from some of the most memorable points in Bruce Springsteen’s career.
The exhibition will run from Saturday, August 12 through Saturday, September 2. Chet Sullivan will also perform as part of the opening on the 12th.
Vini “Mad Dog” Lopez, an original member of the E Street Band from 1968-1974, will even make an appearance at the exhibition on Saturday, August 19.
The work of Phil Ceccola will make up the majority of the memorabilia on display. Ceccola passed away in 2003 after a long career that included work at some of Springsteen’s most memorable shows. His brother has carried on his legacy with continued exposure of his photography.
The Boss Storms Philly
Bruce Springsteen built a reputation as the hero of the common man. He also endeared himself locally with his continued romanticization of the Jersey Shore. His unique ability to captivate a crowd and draw an obsessive following will be on full display at Citizens Bank Park in South Philly for the two mid-August shows.
The Boss rocked the Wells Fargo Center in March. The ballpark will additionally open up the opportunity for an even bigger crowd to attend. The tailgate scene is always wild for Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, and you’ll have one more reason to get down to the Friday show early.
Andre Gardner will broadcast live on 102.9 MGK from the third base gate at Citizens Bank Park on Friday, August 18 from 2pm-7pm.
