I know we have not officially gotten to Thanksgiving yet, but I think everyone is starting to feel the holiday spirit in the air. It is almost time for that winter wonderland, and the Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular in FDR Park is exactly that!

Last week, I was on one of my many bike rides, and we decided to take a ride through FDR Park because it is very scenic this time of the year with the leaves changing colors and all that.

While on the ride, we noticed a spectacular perimeter being set up for one of the newest and coolest holiday events that takes place in the city.

Of course, I am talking about the Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular!

Although it was not officially set up when we rode past it the other day, we could tell just how huge this is going to be once it is set up, and how it will capture all the most fun things of the holiday season.

This year, the Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular will feature endless holiday-themed lights, an ice rink with appearances from none other than the Flyers’ mascot, Gritty, and even an ice slide!

Plus, there will be holiday-themed adult beverages, tons of holiday vendors, and even appearances from Santa Claus for all the kids on the nice list this year!

I got a sneak peek the other day just riding through FDR Park, and for all my sports fans out there, I’ll think you’ll like some of the lights they will have this year!

If you don’t believe me, check out some of the pictures below!

Funnily enough, the Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular is set to open up to the public tomorrow and will run through January 1st.

You can get your tickets here!

Maybe I’ll see you there sometime during this holiday season!

Here’s Your Guide To Philadelphia’s Holiday Lighting Ceremonies

Deck the halls! Well, er, streets! And buildings! And giant trees! Here's your unofficial guide to Philadelphia's holiday lighting ceremonies.

Twinkling lights and sparkling garlands are just a few things that make holidays brighter. The city and its suburbs will have a stunning lineup of ceremonies for the highLIGHT of the holiday season; lights! Philadelphia is fulfilling the goal of making the season bright.

There's something about the feeling of a lighting ceremony. You huddle together with your loved ones on a chilly night, wrapped in scarves and the thickest coat you own. With red cheeks and hand warmers in hand, you stare up at the unlit promise of a beautiful holiday season. Then, all at once, with a "3, 2, 1!" the lights turn on, creating a dazzling display of cheer. The holiday season is here at last, full of family, fun, and magic.

Don't miss out on a moment like that! It's a ceremonious and fitting way to ring in the season of giving and cheer. Thousands of tiny light bulbs can warm your soul in a way unlike any other thing. It's a fun time to spend with those you love on a night leading up to the holidays.
