New Jersey City Ranked in Top 2 Best Date Night Cities in US
Dating is hard. It’s tough out there when you are trying to find someone. If you’re not very good at holding a conversation, it’s even tougher. If you eventually find yourself a partner, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife you’re always looking for a nice night out, or a place to go, vacation to take. Easier said than done depending on your location and your family situation. Once you find the time, you want to do it right, if only you had a list of the best date night cities across the country.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, a site called BonusFinder.com put together a list of the Top 10 Best Date Night Cities. They rated the top 10 on various categories that would make for a good date night. Here is how they listed them

Let’s take a look at the top 5 before we get to the New Jersey city that came in at #2 on the list.
5. Portland, Maine – Never been, but their explanation of the coastline and lighthouse is a nice setting for a boat ride or walk along the coast. Portlands shops and cobblestone streets add to the setting for a nice date night.
4. Charleston, South Carolina – On my wife and my list. Possibly next year for a 10th anniversary weekend trip. Charleston ranked #1 in romantic hotels. Any photo you see of Charleston hits me with the Wanderlust.
3. Savannah, Georgia – A great city, just time your arrival to be outside of the summer heat. My wife and I went down there when we were younger and dumber. It was a last second idea for a trip, but we didn’t take into account the time of year we were going… early July. It was hot and humid, but the area near the Savannah River and Historic Savannah is pretty great. Plus, there isn’t any law against open containers in the historic area, so you can take your drinks to go.
1. Sarasota, Florida – 250 days of sunshine ain’t half bad.
I obviously skipped the one from our area that took the #2 spot. When thinking about it, it’s not overly surprising because there is a lot to do in this city. A lot of good restaurants, places to stay, money to win and 4 months out of the year you’ve got a big ol’ beach to hang out on. Coming in at #2 is Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Are you asking why are no major major cities made it in the top 5? It’s probably because more than half of the categories were ‘per 10,000 people’. That low number raises some of the smaller towns up the list. You can check out the entire list here.
