MGK Big Gig 2024 Was The Best One I Can Remember
This past weekend, the MGK Big Gig 2024 took place, and let me just tell you, it was my favorite MGK Big Gig since I joined the MGK staff five years ago in 2019.
First off, thanks to the Yuenglings in Lot 1 from the Turner family in Swedesboro, the day got started on the right foot!
Tailgating was in full force when I pulled into the lot at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, and it looked like everybody was having a great time.
With a crowd like that, I knew we were going to be in for a fun day.
Once I got into the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, I was met again with another beautiful setup from Kara Lester and the MGK promotions crew.
MGK banners were everywhere, and they looked amazing!
No one could forget they were at the MGK Big Gig 2024.
MGK Big Gig 2024 Performances
As for the concert itself — wow, what a show!
Hearty Har took the stage at 7 p.m. and warmed up with a fun show.
By the way, Hearty Har is a band from Los Angeles with two of John Fogerty’s kids, Shane and Tyler.
They definitely started the MGK Big Gig off right!
After that, Andre Gardner and I welcomed the crowd at 7:50 p.m.
Then, it was time for George Thorogood & the Delaware Destroyers, and they did not disappoint!
They did ten songs including “Who Do You Love,” “One Bourbon, One Scotch,” “I Drink Alone,” and “Bad To The Bone.”
Finally, John Fogerty closed out the MGK Big Gig 2024.
They did 19 songs including all the Creedence Clearwater Revival hits, and a “Gloria” cover where he brought out George Thorogood.
Overall, the MGK Big Gig 2024 was a complete success and the most fun one I have been a part of.
I can’t wait to see what happens next year!
Oh, and I can’t forget — A big thanks to Jim Sutcliffe of Live Nation, who is simply the best at what he does.
Plus, Kurt and Connie from Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, who always make us feel like a part of their family.
