In a world where preparing for doomsday is more than just a hobby for some, preppers are getting ready to survive catastrophic events like war or economic collapse. This preparation not only boosts their chances of survival but also reduces their panic during emergencies. And Costco is stepping in with a deal that's a steal for these folks. Instagram user Pressure Luck Cooking, Jeffrey Eisner, is reminding people that Costco is ready with their "Costco Apocalypse Dinner Kits!"

"So I'm in Costco, which is like my happiest place in the world to be, and I've never seen anything like this before. They have buckets that they are just calling 'emergency food supply for 132 servings' … I guess this is for when the apocalypse hits?” said Eisner.

Costco is offering a massive bucket of emergency food on its online shop, featuring 150 servings of the same items Jeffrey Eisner highlighted. This includes 12 servings each of Pasta Alfredo and Cheesy Macaroni, six servings each of Teriyaki Rice, Creamy Pasta and Vegetables, Potato Pot Pie, Tomato Basil Soup with Pasta, and Chicken Noodle Soup. Additionally, there are 12 servings each of Brown Sugar & Maple Multi-Grain and Apple Cinnamon Cereal, six servings of Crunchy Granola, 10 servings of White Rice, 16 servings of Vanilla Pudding, 24 servings of Whey Milk Alternative, and 16 servings of Orange Drink.

"With a remarkable shelf life of up to 25 years, this assortment isn't just a temporary fix — it's a long-term solution," the product's description reads. "It's a tangible expression of your dedication to ensuring you and your loved ones are cared for, no matter what lies ahead. But it's not just about survival; it's about maintaining a sense of normalcy, comfort, and even enjoyment during challenging times."

Some people on Instagram post gave their review of the emergency kit or said they would consider purchasing one. “I mean with this inflation I just may go buy those for regular life while finishing school,” someone said. One person asked a fair question about water, writing “If the apocalypse comes, where are you getting fresh water to prepare these dried meals?”

Another person said, “Everyday, people experience natural disasters and their power is shut off for days. If you haven’t lived through such an event, you would be surprised to see this item. You don’t have to be a dooms day prepper to stash food and water.”

The entire bucket apparently costs under $100, making it a great deal considering it could “boost your chances of survival in an apocalypse.”

To enjoy these freeze-dried meals, just add water. And if you're craving more options, Costco has plenty of emergency-ready foods to choose from. Stock up your bunker and become the go-to spot when things really hit the fan.

About six years ago, the wholesale retailer sold emergency food kits that offered a year’s worth of food. The only difference is that it sold for around $1,000 and offered 6,200 servings of food. According to the product’s description, it can provide enough meals for 1,200 calories per day for one adult for a year and has a 25-year shelf life.
