Highlights From Night 2 Of Pearl Jam In Philly, Including Jeff Ament’s Cool Sixers Jersey
Last week, I wrote about how awesome my time was seeing Pearl Jam during the band’s first stop in Philadelphia on their current tour.
Well, it was so good that I had to make a stop at the second show as well.
Pearl Jam took over the Wells Fargo Center for a second time in three nights on September 9th, and just like the first night, my favorite band of all time delivered an epic night.
They played for almost two and a half hours and they played 26 songs, it was amazing.
Plus, maybe the coolest part of the night, at least to me, was getting a shout-out from the band!
The band shouted out myself, along with Nick McIlwain and Pierre Robert of MMR.
Pearl Jam and The Sixers…
And maybe the most notable part of the night — at least for sports fans — was that Jeff Ament wore a special brand-new 76ers jersey!
I wonder who gave him that!
As for the crowd, I was talking to Jeff, who is the bassist in Pearl Jam for those who don’t know, and the band kind of thought heading into the second show that there might be a downturn.
Well, they were wrong!
After the show, Jeff and the rest of the band said the crowd in Philly for night two was incredible.
Honestly, I express enough how great Pearl Jam was on night two, much like night one.
They were so sharp and the musicianship was top-notch.
Plus, Eddie Vedder’s voice is as good as ever, and I’ve been seeing these guys for over 33 years!
Pearl Jam is one of those bands that just gets better with age, and it’s crazy to think I have seen them go from their beginning stages all the way to the legendary rock group they are today.
And they show no signs of stopping!
