3 Delicious Pennsylvania Spots To Get Apple Cider Donuts This Fall
It’s officially happening…the wind is becoming crisp, the leaves are turning orange, and the warm memories of summer now feel distant, even cold. But in the newfound darkness that is any time after 6 o’clock, there is a shimmering light of hope…apple cider donuts are back, and in their prime.
As a proud fall loather, I will put aside all of my grumblings for a solid autumn flavor. Whether it be a pumpkin spice latte, warm caramel cookies, or near-biblical apple cider donuts, I’m in. Suddenly, I will wear my scarf and bulky jacket proudly, if that means I can get even the smallest taste of heaven.
Thus, it only makes sense that I would list a few places that offer the treat, as to remind myself, and all of you, just how important this is. After all, how good is a bite to eat if you can’t share it with someone else? What fun is the donut or the hot chocolate if there isn’t a decent memory to go along with it? So despite the bitter chill, and the stress of school or work, rest assured, I’m setting you up with some chances to make this best, and tastiest season yet.
Here are some spots in Pennsylvania to grab apple cider donuts this fall:
137 W Knowlton Rd, Media, Pennsylvania 19063
While the orchard is not solely dedicated to baked goods, the significance of the “legendary” status that they place on their homemade apple cider donuts makes them difficult to resist. Using the house apple cider, these authentic treats are supposedly “made fresh every morning before Phillip….” the “….rooster makes his morning wake-up call!”
1000 Marshallton Thorndale Rd, West Chester, Pennsylvania 19380
Also “made fresh every morning,” Highland Orchards boldly claims to be ‘Philly’s Best” producer of the flavored donut. While it being homemade is already a plus…I don’t know about you but boasts like this make me nothing less than eager to eat one…or a few.

Now, I know what you are thinking –“She was on a roll!” But hear me out, Dunkin Donuts will forever be the East Coast staple. While I won’t go as far as to admit that they have the BEST apple cider donut, they wouldn’t include a sentence in their August 2024 newsletter referring to “the much-requested return of the Apple Cider Donut,” if it didn’t have merit. Do with this what you will.
No matter where you choose to go, it’s imperative that you simply TRY the pastry. If can take the courageous leap, despite my obvious reservations, so can you.
