Have Foo Fighters Canceled Their 2025 Tour Plans?
Foo Fighters currently have no tour dates or other performances confirmed for 2025. Reportedly, that might not change.
That piece of news came via Ben Barbaud, the founder of the massive French rock festival Hellfest, whose 2025 edition will take place June 19-22. Over 180 bands have been announced for the festival including Korn, Muse, Scorpions, Linkin Park, Electric Callboy, Within Temptation, Judas Priest, and Falling in Reverse.
Barbaud was asked in an interview with Le Parisien about booking Muse for the festival. He said the band was “offered to me on a platter.” Barbaud added, “Foo Fighters having canceled their summer tour, Muse was called in as reinforcements. I accepted because I was missing a headliner on Friday and because the Hellfest audience is more and more open.”
While nothing has been officially confirmed as to why the Foo Fighters canceled their 2025 tour plans, it’s pretty safe to assume what led to this alleged decision. In fact, it’s likely why Dave Grohl was the ninth most-searched musician on Google in 2024.
Grohl issued a statement via Instagram on September 10 about fathering a child outside of his marriage to wife of over 20 years Jordyn Blum.
Grohl wrote, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”
He continued, “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
Grohl added, “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
No details were shared about the identity of the baby’s mother.
In the days that followed, People reported a source said the Foo Fighters frontman retained a divorce lawyer. People reached out for comment, but a rep for Grohl did not immediately respond.
Next, a person with the Instagram handle @valeriegreyson shared a photo of a baby girl and claimed the baby was the one Grohl fathered outside of his marriage.
The Instagram post featured a lengthy caption, but reads, in part, “My sweet Roxie Junie Grohl, being your mama has already been the most incredible experience of my life.”
The post further states, ” … Every time I look at you, I see so much of your dad in your face — it’s like a little reflection of him in the tiniest, most beautiful way.”
TMZ reports that a rep for Grohl said that post was completely false. The tabloid later updated the story and wrote, “We spoke with the person who posted the fake photos to their page … and she says, “I’m sorry this was a fake page we just wanted followers! We’re minors!”
Dave and Jordyn were married on August 2, 2003. They have three daughters: Violet (born in 2006), Harper (born in 2009) and Ophelia (born in 2014). He was previously married to Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. Per The Guardian, Dave’s “admitted infidelities” led to their divorce.
