Philadelphia Sets Traffic, Transit Plans for NFC Championship Game

City officials announced new traffic rules for the Eagles vs Commanders NFC Championship game happening on January 26 at the Linc. These changes will impact parking and public transit throughout Philadelphia.

"As we get READY for Sunday's NFC Championship Game we want to remind everyone to stay safe," said Mayor Cherelle L. Parker to phila.gov. "Let's thank all the city workers who are working around the clock to make sure the City is safe, clean, and ready for the big crowds at the Linc on Sunday Go Birds!"

No-parking signs will start going up near South Broad Street and City Hall from January 23. Any cars still parked in these marked zones after noon on January 25 will be towed away.

On game day, additional parking restrictions will be enforced around Cottman and Frankford Avenues in Northeast Philly. The same rules will apply along the busy parts of South Broad Street.

SEPTA plans to add extra service on the Broad Street Line to handle the crowds. Express trains will run every 10 minutes from Fern Rock starting at 10 a.m. until the middle of the afternoon.

Streets near the sports complex and downtown might close after the game ends. The city's emergency team will keep an eye on things throughout the day.

Police will monitor important areas around the stadium and city center. Medical teams and traffic crews will be stationed at major gathering spots in case they're needed.

Officials are asking fans to check for signs and make travel plans early. They'll post updates on the city's official X/Twitter accounts, including emergency management and police channels.
